Kristin Burton, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Kristin Burton was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She grew up as a competitive gymnast and continued to coach girl's gymnastics through college. She experienced many foot and ankle injuries, as both a gymnast and a coach, which sparked her interest in podiatry.
Dr. Burton attended The Ohio State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in 2006. Dr. Burton then attended The Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine (KSUCPM) from 2006-2010. While at KSUCPM, Dr. Burton was a member of Pi Delta Honor Society and was an active board member of the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association (OPMA). She graduated from KSUCPM with honors.
Dr. Burton completed a three year surgical residency training program at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was trained extensively in all areas of podiatric medicine and surgery, including treatment of the diabetic foot, Charcot reconstruction, wound care, limb salvage, sports related injuries, foot and ankle trauma, heel pain, arthritis, reconstructive surgery and the treatment of flatfoot in both children and adults.
Dr. Burton is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Ohio Podiatric Medical Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Burton is on the medical staff at Grant Medical Center, St. Ann's Hospital, Licking Memorial Hospital, Mount Carmel East Hospital and Select Specialty.
Dr. Burton enjoys following Ohio State football and basketball. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and traveling.
